About the Journal

Nepalese Journal of Radiology (NJR)

Focus and Scope

Nepalese Journal of Radiology was launched on 17th February 2012 during the inaugural ceremony of 5th SAARC Congress of Radiology (SCR-2012). This journal aims to provide opportunity of sharing knowledge and experience amongst the Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, Physicists, Radiologic Technologists as well as help to disseminate findings of research/achievements to these personnel at home and abroad.

Articles are published under the following categories: Original Articles, Review Articles, Case Reports, Pictorial Essay, and editorial letters solicited by the editorial board.

Peer Review Process

The manuscripts are sent online to two expert peer reviewers who may be national or international. They are blinded to the contributor's identity and vice versa for meticulous review, inputs, and comments in the questionnaire format.

The final decision on whether to accept or reject the article is taken by the editorial board based on the peer reviewer's comments within three months. The contributor is informed about acceptance or rejection with reviewer comments.

Accepted articles must be resubmitted after making required changes or clarifying questions raised during peer review, within one month.

Plagiarism Policy

Authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works. If authors have used the work or words of others, this should be appropriately cited or quoted.

Submitted manuscripts are examined using iThenticate. Reviewers are encouraged to carefully check and control similarity and guide authors to avoid overlap with previously published materials.

Publication Frequency

Nepalese Journal of Radiology is a biannual publication.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

License Policy

Open-access articles are available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that the original work is properly cited.
