Review the editorial policies and ethical guidelines of the Journal of Nepal Health Research Council.
JNHRC is an open-access journal. All published articles are freely available online immediately upon publication without any subscription fees or pay-per-view charges. Authors retain copyright under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
All manuscripts submitted to JNHRC undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Each submission is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. The editorial decision is based on the reviewers' recommendations, originality, scientific rigor, and relevance to the journal's scope.
JNHRC has a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., iThenticate). Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20% are returned to the authors for revision. In cases of confirmed plagiarism, the manuscript will be rejected and the authors' institutions may be notified.
JNHRC adheres to the guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All research involving human subjects must have ethical approval from an Institutional Review Board (IRB) or equivalent ethics committee. Informed consent must be obtained from study participants.
All authors, reviewers, and editors are required to declare any potential conflicts of interest that may influence or be perceived to influence their objectivity. Financial relationships, personal affiliations, and intellectual interests must be disclosed at the time of submission or review.
JNHRC follows the ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) criteria for authorship. All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation. All authors must approve the final manuscript version and agree to be accountable for the work.
Authors are encouraged to make their research data publicly available whenever possible. If data cannot be shared due to ethical or privacy concerns, authors must provide a data availability statement. JNHRC supports the principles of reproducibility and transparency in research.
JNHRC follows COPE guidelines for retractions and corrections. If errors are identified after publication, a correction notice (erratum or corrigendum) will be issued. In cases of serious misconduct or unreliable data, articles may be retracted with a published retraction notice linked to the original article.
